Description:
Polyethylene (LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE) is the most widely used plastic throughout the world .High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is the most widely used type of polyethylene. HDPE is characterized by a linear polymer chain with few branches having density greater than about 0.94 g/cm3. It includes ethylene homopolymers and also copolymers of ethylene and α-olefins such as 1-butene, 1-hexene, 1-octene or 4-methyl-1-pentene.HDPE can be produced either in a dedicated HDPE plant or in LLDPE/HDPE swing plant. Three different catalysts are commercially used in the manufacturing of HDPE namely Chromium, Ziegler- Natta and Metallocene. Different commercial technologies have been developed by different technology holders worldwide for production of HDPE.
Usage in life:
HDPE, or high density polyethylene, is present in objects so common as bottles, containers, toys, helmets, cosmetic and food containers and all kind of domestic objects. In fact, it is synthetic polymer with a higher volume of production in all over the world. It is odourless, insipid and non-toxic- Plant Capacity: 300 KTA
